Friday sunset wine tour

A premiere Charlottesville Winery Tour…Crozet Trolley’s Friday Sunset Wine Tour!

Selected Fridays the trolley makes its way to the vineyards north of Crozet. We chose these hidden gems for their beauty, friendliness, special events, and, of course, their excellent Virginia Wines.

Tour leaves Fridays from downtown Crozet on The Square at 5:30pm and returns at 8:30pm.

Grace Estate Winery

Now more than 20 years after its initial planting, this vineyard yields quality harvests that exemplify the terroir of the Monticello region. A family-owned business, Grace Estate celebrates the storied history of the Grace family, reaching back to medieval times. Grace’s vintner, Frantz Ventre, educated in Bordeaux, brings a lifetime of industry knowledge and artistry.

Grace is also appreciated for it’s Friday night local food trucks and live music on their open sky deck.

Knight’s Gambit Vineyard

Named for a famous short story by the owner’s grandfather, William Faulkner, Knight’s Gambit Vineyard is over five acres of Petit Verdot, Pinot Grigio, Merlot and Cabernet Franc on a rolling hillside facing the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Also known for friendly farm animals, spectacular views of the Blue Ridge, and original events, it is here you can watch the sun sink gloriously behind the Blue Ridge as you enjoy one of their five varietals: Meritage, Petit Verdot, Rosé, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio.

“We visited from DC with friends to explore vineyards around Charlottesville. We’re so happy we went with Crozet Trolley! Easy booking, super friendly staff, water on board, and discounts. I can’t recommend Crozet Trolley highly enough! ”
